Just got back from three days on Tondy in Jervis Bay with my youngest daughter Sammy.
We had a lovely sail down to "Hole in the Wall" in 30 degree temps with 15knts from the north-east and then snorkled and swam and fished for two days whilst the Southerly came through.
Night two was a fun time catching Squid although I think I'll have to come up with a cleaner way of dispatching them to the pan. We got plenty of quiet time to just sit and contemplate lifes big questions and then there was plenty of time to just sit.
Day three we motored to Long Beach and caught up with good mate Ross and his family. More swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding and fine food then as we were heading back to Callala we came upon a capsized Hobie Cat with two P.O.B who were exhausted and unable to bring it back up in a 25knt NorEaster. We called our local JB Marine Rescue and were able to provide co-ordinates to assist the rescue. The crew were tired but in good spirits so we gave them some water and stayed with them until they were sucessfully rescued.
All in all it was a great little getaway and we can't wait to do it all again soon!
